Goal: Henry dreams of being an itinerant Unitarian Universalist preacher. He would like to travel to and have his picture taken at Unitarian Universalist churches, with Unitarian Universalist ministers, at Unitarian Universalist events, or at other significant places in Unitarian Universalist history. (Having his picture taken at Walden Pond would be the ultimate experience for obvious reasons.)
Bio: Like many people, UU Jester was required to read some pieces by Henry David Thoreau while in high school. It wasn’t until years later, after he discovered Unitarian Universalism, that realized that the great Transcendentalist he so admired was a Unitarian as well. UU Jester really wanted to combine his UU vocation and faith with his new geocaching hobby. A UU themed travel bug seemed like a good way to do that. But which person to use? Well, most people know Henry David Thoreau even if they don’t know he was a Unitarian. So, Henry Ducky Thoreau was born.
The symbol on his chest is the flaming chalice, the symbol of the Unitarian Universalist faith. His vest pocket has a number of pencils, which he actually helped discover the formula for. (Until he did, America had to buy all of their good pencils from England.)
