Duck of Christmas Past (D85-190)

Duck of Christmas Past

Created by Craig for Team Ducky’s 2009 Christmas Collection.  Encountered at the Shandaken Challenge – Mt. Tremper on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009.

The second spirit to visit Ebeneezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens‘ famous tale, A Christmas Carol, was the Ghost of Christmas Past. It (though often portrayed popularly as a “she”) was described as, “a strange figure — like a child…It wore a tunic of the purest white, and round its waist was bound a lustrous belt, the sheen of which was beautiful. It held a branch of fresh green holly in its hand…from the crown of its head there sprung a bright clear jet of light, by which all this was visible; and which was doubtless the occasion of its using, in its duller moments, a great extinguisher for a cap, which it now held under its arm.”

The Duck of Christmas Past was reunited with her fellow spirits and together they are haunting the B.Z. Boys.
