Gnome Ducky (D47-131)

Gnome Ducky in Gnome-Man's Land

Created by Craig for Gnome Man’s Land on November 15, 2009.

Our only day of caching while in Ottawa (the rest were all done in the evening after the events of the conference had concluded.)  The weather wasn’t very cooperative, being cloudy and raining at times, but we had fun anyway.  The name of this cache intrigued UU Jester, so off we went.  (We like gnomes almost as much as we like duckies.)  The title did not lie.  It was out in the middle of nowhere.  Due to the weather, we didn’t hike the trail as suggested.  Rather, we parked and UU Jester hopped out and retrieved the cache.  (It could only be in one of two places and Team-Ducky doesn’t do drainage ditches.  Having seen one like this in Ithaca, it was an easy find.)   Gnome Ducky was quickly made and then replaced to keep the guardian gnome company.

Gnome Ducky is still keeping company with the guardian gnome in Gnome Man’s Land.
