Autumn Treant Ducky (D26-80)

The rare Autumn Treant Ducky at dusk.

Created by Craig for the Root of the Problem cache in Glimmerglass State Park on October 19, 2009.  One of our final finds of our caching adventure with Zeke (Triangle Ducky.)

Craig took the name of the cache and the hiding spot as inspiration and tried to make a Treant Ducky.  (Treants, for those non-fantasy geeks reading this, are living, walking trees.)  The Ducky has fall leaves on its head, a woody trunk for its neck, and a vast root system on its body.  (There is also a geocache clue on the duckie.  Spoiler, sorry.)  Craig actually dressed up as a Treant for Halloween one year.   This duck, much like that early Halloween costume, was better conceived than executed.

Our thanks to Zeke for providing the “nest” for Autumn Treant Ducky’s photo.

Autumn Treant Ducky was uprooted and transplanted by GPS Barb on November 11, 2009.
