Batduck (D21-71)

High above the rooftops of Oneonta, he watches for trouble.

Created by Craig (of course) for To the Batcave, a cache located near the amazingly scenic Table Rock above Oneonta, NY on October 18, 2009.

Hey, I can see our house from here.

Our friend, Zeke (Triangle Ducky), was caching with us for the first time (the only time, so far, but we have hopes) and this was the first duck he saw us create.  Being a huge super-hero fan, I put a lot of work into this one (note the utility belt.)  While I was working on it, Zeke and Cheryl enjoyed the view and the wonderful Indian wood-flute music a local gentleman was playing to greet the sun and say goodbye to a dear friend.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Batduck without a cape.  (Sorry, Edna.)

Batduck was found and rescued from the diabolical clutches of the villainous cache by GPS Barb on November 15, 2009.

Batduck was sent to patrol the Ducks Uncovered cache (bird themed caches could very well be the work of the Penguin, you know) on December 26th, but since there was nothing nefarious about that cache, he decided to team up with GPS Barb’s daughter and is now headed for parts in California.

  1. Cute! Love Batduck!

    • Love the video, Erika. I hadn’t seen that one before. He had problems with his long cape, too.
